Drivers wishing to drive a truck whose maximum authorized mass (= unladen mass plus the maximum authorized weight of cargo) exceeds 3500<\/strong> kilograms must hold a category C<\/strong>(truck) driving license.<\/p>\n\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This exam tests the knowledge and application of traffic rules<\/strong> and the knowledge of the technical<\/strong> aspects and safety-oriented knowledge of the vehicle technology of truck and bus.<\/p>\n

The exam format is written, with 50 multiple-choice questions.
\nThe exam lasts 75 minutes.
\nOf the 50 questions, you must answer 40 correctly to pass. (as of 15-1-2009)
\n(please note: as of April 15, 2009 > 41 answer correctly to pass)<\/p>\n

To take the exam, you will need to meet the following requirements:
\n– at least 17 years old
\n– A valid Dutch driver’s license B (passenger car) or
\n– A valid B theory certificate together with legal identification<\/p>\n

The result remains valid for 2 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The training at Alblas Verkeersschool is given in 4 evenings or via day training in 2 days.<\/p>\n

This exam tests knowledge of transportation administration<\/strong> issues.
\nExam subjects\/parts: Administration, safety aspects, image of the profession, goods transport market<\/p>\n

The exam format is written. (multiple choice) The exam lasts 75 minutes.
\nOf the 50 questions, you must answer 39 correctly to pass. (as of 15-1-2009)
\nOn the driving license course, out of 40 questions, answer at least 31 correctly.
\n(note: as of April 15, 2009 > skilled 40 good \/ have driver’s license 32 good)
\nThose who pass the exam are given a result sheet.<\/p>\n

To take the exam, you will need to meet the following requirements:
\n– at least 17 years old
\n– a legal ID<\/p>\n

The result remains valid for 2 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The training at Alblas Verkeersschool <\/em>is given in 2 evenings or via day training in 1 day.<\/p>\n

Theory Examination Competency C part 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

This exam tests knowledge of transportation administration, safety issues, image of the profession and the freight transportation market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Prior to all CCV exams, you must be able to identify yourself by legal identification (with passport photo). CCV accepts for participation in its examinations the following legal credentials:<\/p>\n

\u25a0valid Dutch driver’s license<\/p>\n

\u25a0valid Dutch passport<\/p>\n

\u25a0valid European identity card<\/p>\n

\u25a0valid passport of EC and EEA nationals.<\/p>\n

\u25a0valid refugee travel document issued in the Netherlands<\/p>\n

\u25a0valid travel document for foreign nationals issued in the Netherlands<\/p>\n

It follows from the legal system that people with a W document (for asylum seekers) and people with expired A through F alien documents cannot claim a driver’s license. While the W document is a proof of identity, it is not a residence permit and therefore not a good document to obtain a driver’s license from the municipality.<\/p>\n

Without a valid ID, we cannot administer the exam.<\/p>\n

Laminated documents or damaged documents will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
You need a C driving license<\/strong>if you want to drive a motor vehicle whose maximum permitted mass (see Part 1A vehicle license or registration certificate Part I) is more than 3500 kg.To obtain a C driving license, you must pass two theory exams and a practical exam.<\/p>\n

Practical exam C<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exam begins with preparation and inspection of the vehicle and papers. Then you will drive inside and outside built-up areas and on different road types. During the exam, you must demonstrate mastery of the vehicle in all facets under a variety of conditions. Important part of the exam are the special operations, such as reversing a turn and turning through stitches.<\/p>\n

Also, you will have to deal with a so-called navigation assignment. Without direction from the examiner, you will drive your own route for part of the exam. The examiner determines where you will drive. To plan your route, you may use a map or a navigation system. If you do not reach the location, it is not a disaster. It’s about showing that you make your own responsible choices in traffic.<\/td>\n

If you are going to take single lessons <\/strong>, you will determine the time of exam in consultation with your instructor. You can schedule as many lessons per week as you like. There is no waiting period for single lessons. We teach in blocks of at least 2 hours.<\/p>\n

A crash course<\/strong> involves driving for a number of consecutive days ( 5 – 7 or 10), along with another candidate. That happens on weekdays. At noon, we then provide lunch in our cafeteria. Alblas has been working with this formula since 1990, and with very good learning results.<\/p>\n

Why a crash course?
\n<\/span>– You drive every day for a week, all the information will remain fresh in the
\nmemory.
\n– Today’s lesson connects to yesterday’s lesson.
\n– You don’t have to wait a week for the next lesson.
\n– You passed in a short time.
\n– You will learn from your fellow candidate. (behind the wheel every hour)
\n– Lessons are taught by (2-3) different instructors; that way you will stay
\nsharp and get used to the exam situation already.<\/td>\n
