The person, who carries these signals wrongfully, is punishable, but the road users do not have to worry about whether the use of the signals is justified or not. If the signals are used, it is automatically a priority vehicle.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Art. 51: Cattle running loose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is forbidden to leave riding or draft animals or livestock loose on the road without supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Exception: roads designated by the competent authority.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Poultry is not livestock.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Because the term &#8220;letting walk&#8221; was used, the owner\/holder or caregiver is responsible.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Art 52: Boarding and disembarking passengers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drivers wishing to pass a stationary streetcar or bus on the side where passengers are boarding and alighting must give them the opportunity to do so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/p70900351.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1228\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/p70900351.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"><\/a>Here, pedestrians go first.<a href=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/p70900341.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1227\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/p70900341.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"><\/a>Pedestrians should wait but be careful when passing.Keep in mind that pedestrians will still cross.<\/p>\n<p><em>This should include the situation of a roadway, a bus stop and next to it a bicycle path. The cyclist will then have to give opportunity when disembarking passengers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Art. 53: Towing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drivers of a motor vehicle are prohibited from towing another motor vehicle if the distance from the rear of the towing vehicle to the front of the towed vehicle exceeds five meters.<\/p>\n<p><em>The flag between the two vehicles was dropped.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/p70900301.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1229\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/p70900301.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"112\"><\/a>It is also illegal for a motorcycle to tow another motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Art. 54: Special maneuvers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drivers performing a special maneuver, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>driving away;<\/li>\n<li>reversing;<\/li>\n<li>Drive out of an exit onto the road;<\/li>\n<li>From a road into a driveway;<\/li>\n<li>times;<\/li>\n<li>from the merge lane into the through lane;<\/li>\n<li>from the through lane into the exit lane and<\/li>\n<li>changing lanes,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>must give way to other traffic.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>This rule applies to all drivers, including cyclists.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The one, who is about to drive away, is driver (Supreme Court ruling)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Art. 55: Indicating direction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Drivers of motor vehicles and moped riders must signal with their turn signal\/arm if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>they want to drive away;<\/li>\n<li>they want to overtake other motor vehicle drivers;<\/li>\n<li>they want to enter and leave the through lane;<\/li>\n<li>they want to change lanes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>as well as in all other significant lateral movements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Applies only to drivers of motor vehicles.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>There is no description of when the sign may\/should begin and when it may\/should end. This falls under driving instruction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Article 56: Giving opportunity to bus driver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1231\" style=\"color:#333333;font-style:normal;line-height:17px;background-image:initial;background-attachment:initial;background-color:#eeeeee;border-color:initial;border-style:initial;\" title=\"Bus within built-up area\" src=\"http:\/\/alblasverkeersschool.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/bus-binnen-bebouwde-kom1.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"98\">Within built-up areas, drivers must give drivers of a bus&nbsp;the opportunity to drive away from a bus stop when the driver of that bus signals his&nbsp;intention to drive away by giving a signal with his turn signal.<\/li>\n<li>This does not apply to the moving military column and a funeral procession of motor vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><em>A coach must also be given the opportunity to merge.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The driver of a bus does have an obligation to yield to other traffic until given the opportunity. In fact, this obligation falls under the regulation of Article 54.
